Like Daddy

One of the things I love about Dave is how much fun he can have with the kids. He's always looking for creative things to do with them. Since Alethea has been taking violin lessons, Mikaela of course has wanted to play some kind of instrument too. So, since Dave knows how to play guitar, we thought that would be a good one, so he could teach her. I love the way she is looking at him so intently. Right now she just strums along in her own little way. It's so cute. They sit and play worship songs while the other kids dance along. Fun times!!

I used to be.......

coordinated.

Dave and I were out the other night and one of the shoe stores at the mall was moving, so they were trying to sell everything. They had Heeley's on sale for $17.99. If you have kids, you know this is a steal. So we decided it would be fun if I got a pair. Alethea is amazing and we thought it would be a fun thing for us to do together. I knew it would be hard. I've definitely lost some of my coordination that I had as a teenager. (so sad) Dave and I kept joking how funny it would be when the girls got older that they would have the story to tell about "when Mom got Heeley's. Well, needless to say it was for everyones amusement the other night when I actually did try. I'm not as brave as I once was.

The Beginning of the End

What's that on the floor? That would be white out. I've mentioned before that Sarah is trouble. Yesterday she once again confirmed that. I'm sure you all know the scene. It's quiet, I think, that's probably bad, but do not go right away. Then Dave says, "Oh my". When he says that I know it's really bad. In comes Sarah, covered in white stuff. What is that? Then I see the bottle.
These pictures are after we had alreay been scrubbing for quite some time. I forgot to grab the camera right away. How do you get white out off a child? I have no idea, so we were scrubbing with rubbing alcohol. Isn't that terrible. There is probably a much better way, but I didn't know it. We are having a terrible time getting it off the floor. Any suggestions??

This last picture is unrelated to white out, but I think a glimpse into my future as well. This is where I can often find Sarah and Caleb. Yes, that's under the bathroom sink. They will go in and close the cabinet door. One day, Dave looked everywhere and finally found them here. I think they are going to be partners in crime!
